ISKCON Temple

ISKCON has deities of Radha and Krishna located at Rajajinagar, in North Bangalore, Karnataka, India. It is one of the largest ISKCON temples in the world.

Hare Krishna Hill is the hillock on which this sanctuary is arranged. ISKCON Bangalore is a beneficent society with the goal of spreading Krishna Consciousness everywhere throughout the world, as clarified by Srila Prabhupada, whose lessons depend on Bhagavad-gita and Srimad Bhagavatam.

In 1987, the general public was working from a leased house in Bangalore. In the year 1987, the pioneers of the general public connected to Bangalore Development Authority (BDA) for assignment of land to build a fabulous sanctuary and social complex.

Around 1976, aficionados from various parts of India and the world had started exercises of ISKCON in various parts of South India like Bangalore, Hubli, Madras, and so on. Sankirtans in the lanes, enlisting Life Members, masterminding programs in the houses, and organizing expansive open projects in pandals were being directed. The general public was enlisted in the year 1978 under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act, 1960. The objects of the general public are gotten from the Seven Purposes of ISKCON as expressed by Srila Prabhupada. In May 1997, Bangalore ISKCON Temple was introduced by the ninth leader of India - Shankar Dayal Sharma.
